5 Minute Makeup
So, 5 minute makeup myth or reality?
That’s the million-dollar question, and one many of us ask ourselves every morning while doing fabulous but time-consuming beauty routines when we had to be ready 10 minutes ago.
The good news? It’s * totally * possible to create a flawless face in 5 minutes if you have a foolproof plan and a steady hand.
Five Easy Steps to 5 Minutes of Makeup
Prepare Your Skin 5 Minute Makeup
1. Cleanse your face. If you shower in the morning, do it there. If not, grab a cleansing facial tissue (we love Neutrogena) and finish in 30 seconds.
2. Apply a moisturizer with an SPF greater than 30 to hydrate and protect the skin.
3. Finish with a tinted foundation to smooth eyes while applying concealer to feet.
For the 5 minute makeup, we love The Leveler ™ Primer. It blurs the appearance of redness, pores, and uneven textures and gives a matte finish without lumps.
The Leveler is available in two Sheer Shades
If you are using BOUNCE Liquid Whip Foundation in shades 3.5-4.75, choose Tan-deep.
If your skin takes on shades of 1.0 to 3.45, try the light-medium formula.
Use Concealer As a Base
At Beautyblender, we believe concealers should do more than cover pockets and blemishes. And a triple threat tool is even more critical when it comes to 5-minute makeup.
Look For a Concealer That
- Brightens and smooths skin to make the rest of your makeup job easier.
- Contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump the skin.
- Contains tetrapeptides to reduce puffiness around the eyes.
Here’s a pro tip from our friends at Harper’s Bazaar: Try applying concealer on blemishes or dark spots to increase blood flow, especially around the eyes. Tapping it will load your makeup app, making your 5-minute makeup goal a reality.
Buff, Blush, and Bronze
Creating a personal makeup plan in 5 minutes is different for everyone. Some people rely on bronzers, while others find that a touch of blush is enough.
Proof 5-minute Makeup Plan Includes
- Setting powder to set concealer throughout the day and control shine
- Bronzer for increased definition and a natural glow.
- Blush for a radiant and youthful finish
Of course, we started with BOUNCE Soft Focus Gemstone Setting Powder because it gives it a second-skin finish, and its light-reflecting gemstones create a colorful effect. Available in five formulas, it’s easy to find the right shade to remove shine but maintain shine.
When it comes to quick bronzers and blushes, try creams or bars. Using a moist beauty blush, apply a small amount of the product to the areas you want to contour (bronzer) or cheeks (blush), then bounce for the perfect blend.
You want to dab your face directly with chopsticks. Resist the urge! Cleaning the sticks now on the skin can cause over-application, making the foundation look thick or flaky. When 5 minutes of makeup is at stake (literally!) You don’t have time for it.
Strengthens the Eyes
The eyes are another area in the 5 Minute Makeup Plan where YMMV goes step by step. While some of us wouldn’t dream of leaving the house without a shadow and liner, some are very comfortable with mascara and nothing else.
Mix and Match
A bright shade that is 1-2 shades lighter than your skin tone. Use your SHADY LADY to shade.
A dark brown or black eyeliner. For professionals who want a quick application, try a liquid eyeliner. If you are unsure, use WINGMAN to apply the powder liner with an even pull.
